We can’t wait to see you at our Thousand Oaks office for your first dental visit! Some people can get nervous for their first dentist appointment, but Dr. Amy and our team are pros at putting a smile on every patient’s face and making sure they are comfortable during their first visit. We have found that patients that know what to expect are also much more comfortable with their first appointment.
For your first appointment, there will be a few forms to fill out so we can enter you into out record keeping system and we will need to see your insurance cards, if you have dental insurance, so we can verify all the information. Afterwards, Dr. Amy will conduct a thorough examination of your teeth and mouth. In addition to looking for cavities in teeth, Dr. Amy will also be looking for any signs of gingivitis, gum disease or oral cancer. If any issues are found, Dr. Amy will share them with you and discuss any treatment options that are necessary. Ready for your first dental visit at Dr. Amy’s Dental? Get in touch today!
Your Child’s First Dental Visit
For a kid’s first dentist appointment, it is highly recommended that children see the dentist when their first tooth breaks the gums or when they turn one-year-old. While there is no extensive work to be done for your baby’s first dentist appointment, it is important to get into this good habit when they are young. Waiting till they are older and have their adult teeth, it can be too late to correct certain issues easily. Dr. Amy will make sure that your child’s first dental visit is fun and easy, making sure that a positive connotation is made in your child’s brain from a young age. Want to schedule your child’s first dental visit? Contact Dr. Amy’s Dental and we’d be happy to get you on the schedule!
